Kamares
Ideal place for holidays
A modern village that boasts the harbour of Sifnos and one of the biggest, organised beaches of the island.
Kamares
For the visitors of Kamares the choices are many as there are restaurants and tavernas by the sea serving traditional and international dishes, café-bars right on the sand as well as many shops.
Agia Marina
A pleasant, early evening stroll leads the visitor to the little chapel of Saint Marina that many couples select it for their wedding. A true balcony to the Aegean Sea with the summer sun setting right ahead.
Trekking
One of the most beautiful but also a rather difficult trekking trail (No 6A) starts from Kamares and ends at Panagia Toso Nero, from where the route continues (No 6) and goes on to Katavati and from there to Apollonia. It is quite a long route (6-7 hours) with many alterations in the landscape and the breathtaking view.
Another trail that starts from Kamares is the one connecting the harbour with Apollonia, the capital of the island. This is an easy route, especially if you start from Apollonia heading for Kamares, as it slopes down.
